Readin' Writin' and textin'

This article discusses the use of cellphones, video games and other handheld devices that are found in everyday classrooms today. The main debate over these issues are if the students are using them for cheating or using them to distract others in the class. The principals of the schools have to make a decision on how to approach this issue. The other issue that these devices bring up is the safety issue. The reason this is such an issue is because of all the school shootings and the unexpected tragedy that happens the students will be able to use a device to get a hold of loved ones.

When I was in school, the student body of my school used these devices in a negative way. Individuals used their cellphones to cheat on tests and other assignments. The administration needs to make some sort of decision about this issue and stick with it in a consistent manner.
